thinking about coming up from greenville for this. how is this venue. last time i went to va beach was in early may of 08 to see bane/i rise/wake up call it was at liberty IV show had a terrible vibe and i was real disappointed about coming all the way for it. hoping this will be better if i make it up.

the kid who got his head cracked open... his mom called in a complaint about it. which i don't blame her... if my kid came home with a giant fucking gnash in his head i'd be pissed to.

hopefully we can still have shows there. i like that place alot

show was alot of fun worth the 2-3 hr drive easily. va beach redeemed itself in my eyes cuz that bane show awhile always made me second guess coming up here. so fun. not into that whole chair throwing thing but whatever. pt was great. naysayer ruled. if there was a stage this would be the best place ever. fun packing people in a small room tho. five guys afterwords ruled to cuz we dont have one in greenville. kinda odd going there after singing along to pt but i dont care five guys is backed hard.

As far as shows probably not happening there anymore is probably right. And if there can be there will have to be security, which sucks. And I think the show Saturday is getting moved to a house show, the one tomorrow is cancelled.

Solution to problem: stop throwing chairs. It's all fun and games until someone gets there had gashed open, and a responisble parent trys to fix things. I also don't blame her. If we can't have shows at the Ruritan anymore, we are basically fucked.

you haven't been around long enough to come to the conclusion that we'd be "fucked"
within the past 5 years give or take... we've ran through safe to say 6 venues

uncle bobs
attitudes (i only went to a small amount there)
haunted funhouse
sweet carolines
club live
liberty

some of these just closed because of money situations... but still

someone usually pulls through. there's still people in the work of opening somehting up in norfolk

plus.. all someone who books a show needs to do is grab two big dudes... and put them in black shirts and say they're security if that's wht the problem is.

i was just saying that we've lost venues before in the past and it's pulled through...so saying that we'd be "fucked" was pretty "dumb"

the show tomorrow is canceled. saturday is a FREE house show. details soon. i hope all of the bands are still down to play - we have a special treat for you. it sucks we might lose this venue but like johnny said - trust me, we have bigger things to worry about.
